Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of UnityFund, an estate-management and community-finance application operated by Niyexdroid Technologies ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

UnityFund lets residential estates collect dues and contributions, issue receipts, manage residents and zones, run polls and community chat, and handle maintenance and service requests. Features available to you depend on the role and permissions assigned by your estate.

2. Eligibility & accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old and an invited resident or authorised member of a participating estate.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

3. Payments

• Dues and contributions are processed through Paystack. By paying, you also accept Paystack's terms.
• Payment amounts, dues rates, and contribution targets are set by your estate's authorised executives, not by us.
• Receipts are generated automatically on successful payment. Keep them for your records.
• Refunds, disputes, and reconciliation of estate dues are handled by your estate. We facilitate the transaction but are not a party to the dues obligation between you and your estate.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the app for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
• post abusive, defamatory, or unlawful content in community chat or polls;
• attempt to access data or accounts you are not authorised to access;
• interfere with, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the service; or
• misuse executive permissions granted to you.

5. Community content

You retain ownership of messages and content you post, but grant us and your estate a licence to display and store it as needed to run the service. Estate executives may moderate, lock, or remove content in line with community rules.

6. Data protection

Our handling of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. We process data in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023.

7. Availability

We aim to keep UnityFund available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change, and maintenance or third-party outages (for example, payment or hosting providers) may temporarily affect access.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UnityFund and Niyexdroid Technologies are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from your estate's decisions, dues rates, fund management, or from third-party services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or that we reasonably believe are involved in fraud or abuse. You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time by contacting us.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
