This Privacy Policy explains how UnityFund, an estate-management and community-finance application operated by Niyexdroid Technologies ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data. We process personal data in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023 (NDPA) and the regulations and guidance issued by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

1. Who we are (Data Controller)

Niyexdroid Technologies is the data controller responsible for the personal data processed through UnityFund. Where your residential estate uses UnityFund to manage its community, the estate and its executives act as joint controllers for the resident data they administer.

2. Personal data we collect

• Identity & contact data: first and last name, email address, phone number.
• Residence data: estate, zone, plot, block, and flat/house number.
• Financial & transaction data: dues, contributions, payment records, receipts, and coverage periods. Card details are entered on and handled by our payment processor (Paystack) — we do not store your full card number.
• Account & authentication data: login credentials, one-time codes, and — where you choose Google Sign-In — your Google account email and basic profile.
• Community data: chat messages, poll votes, and maintenance/service requests you submit.
• Technical data: device information, app version, IP address, and diagnostic/error logs.

3. Lawful basis for processing

Under Section 25 of the NDPA, we rely on one or more of the following lawful bases:

• Contract: to provide the UnityFund service to you and your estate.
• Consent: for optional features such as Google Sign-In and community messaging. You may withdraw consent at any time.
• Legal obligation: to keep financial and transaction records as required by law.
• Legitimate interest: to secure the service, prevent fraud, and improve reliability, balanced against your rights.

4. How we use your data

• Create and manage your resident account and estate membership.
• Process dues and contribution payments and issue receipts.
• Send reminders, notifications, and service-request updates.
• Enable zone chat, polls, and community coordination.
• Provide estate executives with the finance and resident reports they need to run the estate.
• Secure the platform, detect fraud, and diagnose faults.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Your estate's authorised executives (finance, communications, operations) strictly within their permission scope.
• Paystack — payment processing.
• Supabase — secure database and authentication hosting.
• Google — where you use Google Sign-In.
• Sentry — error and crash diagnostics.
• Authorities — where disclosure is required by law or by the NDPC.

Each processor is engaged under terms requiring them to protect your data and process it only on our instructions.

6. International transfers

Some processors store data outside Nigeria (for example, in the European Union). Where personal data is transferred abroad, we ensure the recipient is in a jurisdiction with adequate protection or is bound by contractual safeguards, in line with Sections 41–43 of the NDPA.

7. Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for any period required by law (for example, financial-record retention). When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymised.

8. Your rights

Under the NDPA you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten");
• restrict or object to certain processing;
• request portability of your data;
• withdraw consent at any time; and
• lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

9. Data security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures — encryption in transit, access controls, role-based permissions, and audit logging — to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.

10. Children

UnityFund is intended for estate residents aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children without appropriate parental or guardian consent.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the revision.

If you believe your data-protection rights have been infringed, you may contact us first at admin@niyexdroidtechnologies.com, or lodge a complaint directly with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
